The Art of
Keeping a Life

Journaling for the moments you don't want to forget.

A 90-minute creative journaling workshop about noticing the little things, putting them on paper, and making a bit more room for everyday wonder.

For: Adults & curious beginners
Duration: 90 minutes
Group: 5–12 people
Language: English

We forget more than we think.

  • What did you do last Tuesday?

  • What made you laugh?

  • What was the sky like on your way home?

  • What tiny thing did you notice but never tell anyone about?

Our lives are made up of thousands of these little moments.

Most of them disappear.

This workshop is about keeping a few.

We'll explore journaling through playful prompts and creative ways of capturing everyday life.

  • No perfect handwriting.

  • No beautiful journal spreads required.

  • No pressure to write three pages about your deepest feelings.

Just a pen, some paper and a little curiosity.

What we'll get up to

01 — Notice

A few simple prompts to slow down and look at what's already around you.

02 — Remember

We'll dig into the ordinary moments that are surprisingly worth keeping.

03 — Play

Lists, fragments, tiny stories, observations and other ways of getting thoughts onto paper.

04 — Make

You'll create a few journal pages of your own…something you can take home and continue.

05 — Keep going

We'll finish by thinking about how journaling could fit into real life, without turning it into another thing you have to be “good at”.

You don't have to be a journal person.

This workshop is for people who:

  • have kept a journal for years

  • bought a beautiful notebook three years ago and still haven't used it

  • think they might enjoy journaling but don't know where to start

  • like writing but don't consider themselves writers

  • simply fancy doing something creative for an afternoon/evening

No previous experience required. Sharing is always optional.

What you’ll leave with

A handful of new journal pages, some prompts to
steal for later, and hopefully a slightly different
way of looking at your everyday life.

The practical bits

  • 90 minutes

  • 8–20 participants

  • Delivered in English

  • €10 per person for materials

The workshop can also be adapted around a particular theme, season, or audience.

About Anwesha

Hi, I’m Anwesha!

Journaling quite literally saved my life ten years ago, when I was stuck in a difficult place. What started as a way to make sense of things grew into a longstanding love of words, books, journaling and everyday creativity.

These workshops are my way of sharing that love with others — and of encouraging a little more curiosity, creativity and spark in our increasingly digital lives.
